History: Announced in August 2002, The PowerMac G4 (Mirrored Drive Doors) included several motherboard enhancements borrowed from the previously released Xserve rackmount server. The bus speed on most models was raised to 167 MHz, and a PC2100/2700 Double Data Rate (DDR) SDRAM memory bus was included. dual processors were included across the entire line, as were enhanced graphics cards. The G4 (MDD) was one of the loudest PowerMacs ever, gaining the nickname "Wind Tunnel".
